It is busy, young and constantly growing, with new buildings handed over every year and Circle Mall at its centre. For a maintenance team, JVC means variety: brand-new apartments that need setting up, ten-year-old buildings that need repairs, and a steady flow of tenants moving in and out.

Most of our JVC visits start with a list of small jobs. A new tenant needs a TV mounted, curtain rods or blinds fitted, a wardrobe assembled, a few lights hung and maybe a mirror in the hallway. The flip side of JVC’s growth is construction. New buildings are going up in almost every district, which means more dust on balconies and in AC systems, and more noise during the day. We recommend cleaning AC filters more often in JVC, keeping balcony doors closed on windy days, and booking a full AC service before summer. If you have just moved into a newly handed-over JVC building, it is worth asking us to check the silicone in bathrooms and the kitchen, the drain connections under sinks and the door alignment, because these are the snags we find most often in new apartments.
